Hmm.
I like the concept of a Star Trek-esque translator, but my previous experiences with Babel Fish have me on the skeptical side. For instance, we'll translate "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" into Japanese, and then back into English:

ENGLISH: The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

JAPANESE VIA BABELFISH: 速い茶色の孤は不精な犬を飛び越した。

BACK TO ENGLISH: The orphan of fast brown jumped over the lazy dog.

See? That's going to be rough if you try for "my stomach hurts" and end up with "the carrot forceful, Denmark."
